What began as a young boy’s passion for hunting evolved into a commitment to wildlife preservation, education, and the protection of our natural heritage.

The Foundation of a Legacy

As a young boy, hunting taught me lifelong lessons in patience, discipline, respect, and gratitude. The outdoors became my classroom, and wildlife became my greatest teacher. Time spent outdoors fostered a deep appreciation for the natural world and the wildlife it sustains, and a lifelong commitment to protecting wild places and the species that call them home.

Over the years, my passion led me far beyond my hometown. Through hunting and travel on six continents, I experienced diverse landscapes, cultures, and animal populations firsthand. Conservation is essential not only for protecting species and habitats, but also for preserving the stories, traditions, and ecosystems connected to them.

As my career grew, I was fortunate to build a successful business and later to invest significant resources in conservation, education, and the preservation of wildlife history. The Bailey Wildlife Museum is a reflection of my lifelong journey and a way to preserve and share wildlife history, conservation stories, and lessons learned along the way.

Why I Built This Museum

Many people collect trophies. My goal was never to build a trophy room. It was to create a place where people can stand face-to-face with some of the world’s most remarkable animals and develop a deeper appreciation for the conservation efforts that help protect them.

Behind every exhibit is a story—of wildlife, landscapes, cultures, conservation efforts, and the people working to preserve them. These displays represent decades of learning, exploration, and a commitment to ensuring future generations can experience the same sense of wonder I found in the outdoors as a young boy.

Whether you’re a hunter, photographer, conservationist, student, or simply someone who loves animals, I hope this museum inspires curiosity, wonder, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world. As a husband, father, grandfather, and mentor, I believe conservation is ultimately about legacy. My hope is that every visitor leaves with a greater appreciation for the animals, habitats, and conservation efforts that make these experiences possible—and a renewed commitment to protecting them for future generations.
