World Record African Lion

In February 2021, Brian joined longtime friend and professional hunter Jason Stone for a bow hunt for a wild managed African lion in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

While most lions are taken by 10 years of age, they encountered an ancient 16 year old male that was clearly in decline and on the last stage of his life, making him the right animal to harvest within a responsible, sustainable use conservation program. Proceeds from the hunt helped support efforts that ensure many more lions will live and thrive.

Brian made a perfect shot with his Bowtech, and months later learned the lion scored 29 inches SCI, earning recognition as a new world record.

“I believe a genuine appreciation for hunting starts with a deep respect for the wildlife and natural resources that make it possible. I am deeply passionate about sharing my love of hunting and giving others the opportunity to experience the majestic creatures I’ve had the privilege of adding to this collection, while helping promote conservation and education for the next generation.”
